Elfi Sannidhi was born on Dec 18th, 1997. When she was 6 months old, she had a ear for music and wanted her parents to sing Andhra Christian Hymns. The first song she learnt by heart was hymn no: 426, “Na Rakshakuni Vembhadintu“ meaning “I will follow my savior” from Andhra Christian Hymns at the age of 1.5 years.
Her Singing talent was first exposed to publicly at the age of 2 years. (Singing during Musical Bonanza of Church Harvest Festival). At the age of 4, Elfi rendered a special number in the Sunday worship service of Hyderabad Baptist Church, Narayanaguda.
At the age of 5, the youngest participant in the “Bicentennial Celebrations singing competitions” commemorating Late poet/writer Purushotham Chowdhary and won the consolation prize in “ Special Category” of Rs.1000/- and appreciation from the Chief Guest of the program at Hariharakala Bhavan Dr. C.Narayana. Reddy.
She had special interest and talent in singing Andhra Christian Hymns and especially loves to sing Classical songs. At the age of 7yrs, she recorded her first album with 8 songs from Andhra Christian Hymns. Her Special numbers (Always Andhra Christian Hymns) in church services and Christian meetings and gatherings were instrumental and inspirational in reviving the tradition of singing these hymns which was fast fading in this generation.
We attribute all the glory and honor to the Almighty Lord for her inborn talent. In spite of so many secular programs and opportunities coming up these days, she sang only for the Glory of God. When she was 9 yrs, she bagged first prize in Classical category in Balala academy competitions conducted on the occasion of children’s day. It was the first time that a Andhra Christian hymn (koniyada tharame ninu) was sung in such competition and bagged a prize.
At the age of 10yrs, Elfi recorded her second album with 8 more songs from the Andhra Christian Hymnal. All these 16 songs were video shot by Aradana TV for telecast in their unique program, “Amrutha Bhandam”. Elfi’s was one of the songs telecasted in first episode of “Amrutha Bandam”, in Aradana TV.
Her songs on the television have been an inspiration to many a budding singer in this generation and also veterans of yesteryears who started singing Andhra Christian Hymnal through the television and there by in their own way lending their contribution in preserving this “Invaluable Treasure” inherited from our godly and scholarly forefathers.
In 2011, when Aradana TV instituted annual awards for the first time in Television history, Elfi Sannidhi was chosen for the “Best Child artist” award.
We can never fail to acknowledge the contribution of V.K.Henry who exposed her talent and Aradana TV for popularizing Andhra Christian Hymns.
She did her Schooling in St.Peter’s Central Public School till 6th standard and from 7th standard onwards in Spectra Global Concept School. In 2013, she was the school topper with GPA 10/10 in SSC. Academically she was a meritorious student and also received the honour of being awarded as BEST ALL-ROUNDER and BEST-IN-CLASS STUDENT in her school. She was a dear student to all her teachers.
After four months of sickness and suffering she was promoted to His glory on 2-12-2014. She leaves behind parents Dr.T.Moses Christopher (Professor in Business Mgmt), Dr.Lydia Nuthan (Assoc.Professor in Business Mgmt) and younger brother Elion Sakshith aged 8yrs studying IVth standard.
